Treatment of Chipped & Broken Teeth

Chipped and broken teeth can happen from falls, sports, biting something hard, or other everyday accidents. Treatment depends on whether the tooth is a baby or permanent tooth, the extent of the damage, and whether the inner portion of the tooth has been affected.

Some small chips may only need to be smoothed or monitored, while others may benefit from a tooth-colored filling, crown, or additional treatment to protect the tooth and restore its shape and function.

At Little Roots, we’ll carefully evaluate the tooth and recommend an individualized approach focused on keeping your child comfortable and preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.

This page describes clinical care in general terms and is written for parents. It is not advice about your individual child.
